John Kemon - Obituary

ohn P. Kemon, 70, passed away on August 13, 2013 at his home in Florida following a courageous battle with cancer. His wife, Faye, daughter, Voni, son, Tim, and friend, Barbara, were by his side. Born on February 10, 1943 in Missouri, John loved playing golf and mentoring others. He was a special man whose passing will be mourned by his entire family and the many friends who shared in his life. John was preceded in death by his younger sister, Lynn Kemon Lear. He is survived by his cherished wife of 27 years, Faye of Florida; beloved daughter, Yvonne (Jason) Payne of Virginia and sons, Paul (Kendra) Seto and Timothy (Susan) Seto both of Maryland; three adored grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Ashley of Virginia; a loving sister, Patricia (Charlie) Zile of Maryland and brother, Edwin Kemon of Virginia; as well as a wonderful in-law family; his good friends of 35 years, Dr. Bob and Bill W.; and “his boys” (you know who you are). Friends will be received on Saturday, August 24, from 9:30 a.m. until John’s memorial service begins at 10 a.m. at the Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. John will be laid to rest at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 West Central Avenue and a reception will follow at Renditions Golf Course, 1380 West Central Avenue. **Please have any flower orders delivered to the church between 8:00 and 8:30am Saturday** A memorial service will also be held in Naples, Florida at a later date.
