John Lipp - Obituary

ohn Lipp, III Born on July 19, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Irene Lipp and John Lipp, II, he grew up in the northeast and attended Yale University. As a French horn player, he played in off Broadway shows while at Yale, then in Washington in the Navy band. He performed at numerous functions at the white house, as well as dignitary funerals including the funeral of John F. Kennedy. In the 70's, he moved to Anne Arundel County, settling in Mayo, MD with his current wife, Mildred Keull Lipp and his stepson William Keull, Jr., currently of Arnold, MD. For the past 30 years, he and his wife have resided in Crownsville, MD. His 30 year federal career included time with the VA, Navy and the Census Bureau before retiring from FEMA in 2006. Before losing his battle with melanoma, he gladly participated in clinical trials with the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD. He enjoyed his years of travel, music, gourmet foods, friends & family, pets and life on the bay. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9 at South Shore Baptist Church, 725 Herald Harbor Rd, Crownsville, MD, at 1pm. Interment Private. Arrangements by the George P.
