John Litz - Obituary

ohn Stanley Litz, 87, died in Annapolis on April 1, 2014. John was born on April 23, 1926 in Rural Retreat, Virginia. John lived most of his adult life in Annapolis with his wife, Jeanette, of 57 years, who died earlier this year. John joined the Navy in April 1943 and served our country in World War II and the Korean War. John separated from the Navy with an Honorable Discharge in May 1953. Once John separated from the Navy, he made a career working for the U.S. Government in the D.C. Metropolitan area. John enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow Veterans at the VFW of Annapolis for many years. Once the VFW was closed, John maintained friendships at the Elks Club in Annapolis, and Knights of Pythias. John enjoyed his family and friends, and will be missed by many. He is survived by three nieces, Carolyn S.Kramer of Edgewater, Brenda J. Covert of Greensboro, and Dorrie K.
