n Monday, August 22, 2016, of Alexandria, VA, formerly of Maryland and Washington, DC; the beloved husband of Rose Marie Malatesta; father of Matthew Malatesta (Lori Woelfel). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and special caregivers. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate John's Life on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745 and on Friday, August 26 from 10 a.m until Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 2401 Brinkley Rd., Ft. Washington, MD. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
