John Miller - Obituary

ohn David Miller “Jack”, 65, of Crownsville, Maryland, passed away on April 5, 2010, at Anne Arundel Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Jack was born January 4, 1945, in Easton, Maryland, the son of the late Huey and Margaret Miller. Jack felt privileged growing up in Easton, Maryland and he always treasured the childhood friendships that endured over the years. He is survived by his wife, Gina Radl Miller; son, Gregory Miller of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Kevin Baird of Raleigh, NC; brother, William Miller of Eagle River, Alaska; parents of his wife, Josef and Mary Radl of Hyattsville, MD; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna and Joseph Sieber of Germantown, MD; nephew, Christopher Sieber; brother-in-law, John Radl of Hyattsville, MD; and sister-in-law Kathleen Radl of Hyattsville, MD. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Davis Miller, who passed away on June 28, 1994. Jack graduated from the University of Maryland in 1967. He was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Jack began his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse Coopers. His career in private industry began at Vitro Corporation where Jack was the youngest Vice President, Treasurer and Controller. His career continued at RJO Enterprises, Inc. and later Force 3, Inc. as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer respectively. Jack became a partner at Tatum, LLC, a provider of strategic financial and technical leadership. Friends are invited to Jack's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday, April 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, Millersville, MD at 11 am on Friday, April 9, 2010. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
