John Stakem - Obituary

ohn Patrick Stakem, Sr., of Odenton, passed away April 9 after a brief battle with cancer. John was born December 30, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to the late James and Dora Swann Stakem. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan; children, John (Suzie), Chris (Marianne), Mary (Steve), Kathy (Troy), Tim, Tom (Denise), and Stephen; nine grandchildren: Megan (Dan), Ryan, Samantha, Andrew, Benjamin, Eric, Nick, Tim, and Nell; brothers James, Martin and Cecil, and a host of other close relatives and friends. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4pm and from 6 to 8pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
