ohn Wesley Trembly John Wesley Trembly, a 33 year resident of Annapolis, and previously of Adelphi, MD, died on April 12, 2009 at his home of natural causes. He was 85. John was born February 17, 1924 in Elkins, West Virginia. He worked as a research glass technologist for the Naval Research Laboratory and University of Maryland Chemistry Dept, where he retired from in 1989. He served his country during WWII in the US Navy from 1943-1945. He enjoyed his daily exercise class, and no one was a stranger to him and he was loved by all who knew him. John was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis where he served as an usher, and also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. His hobbies include fishing, gardening, volunteering at church, meeting and socializing with friends and acquaintances, and loved his family. John is survived by his wife Ann Trembly, of Annapolis, whom he married in 1946, his children, John Michael Trembly of Wilmington, Delaware, Sherry Lynn Thompson of Millersville, MD and Karen Ann Rubin of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to John's Life Celebration on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A graveside service will be held on Thursday April 16, 2009 at 10am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD. Following the graveside service, a memorial service will be held at 11:30am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis, MD 21401.
