John D. West, Jr. - Obituary

ohn Durgan “Jr.” West, Jr., 45, a resident of Denton, MD for 11 years and previously of Edgewater, MD and Houston, DE, took his own life on Sunday, May 9 in Denton, MD. Born on November 29, 1975 in Annapolis, MD to Catherine Jenkins and the late John D. West, Sr., John was a 1994 graduate of South River High School. He spent his life doing what he loved, automobile painting and repair. He enjoyed fixing things, cooking for his family, crabbing and fishing with his boys and always making everyone smile. He had a personality that was un-matched, he made anyone and everyone feel welcome when he was around. John is survived by his wife of 10 years and his companion of twenty-four years, Angela West; his children, Christopher, Jonathan and Shelby all of Denton, MD; his half-sister, Jessica of VA and his grandson, Bryson Carter. Friends are invited to celebrate John’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, May 17 from 11 am until his funeral service begins at 12 noon.
