John Wilson - Obituary

ohn Vincent (Jack) Wilson September 10, 1933 - November 3, 2008 John Vincent (Jack) Wilson, 75, a resident of Annapolis for 37 years, died November 3 at home of cancer. Mr. Wilson was born September 10, 1933, in Evanston, Illinois to the late John and Lola Vincent Wilson. His father, John, was born in Grenoch, Scotland, in 1896. Jack was very active with the Evanston YMCA and their summer Camp ECHO. He received a BS degree in 1955 from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin. Jack was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He served two years in the Navy following graduation with final rank of RM3 Jack held sales and management positions with the parent Coca-Cola Company, General Electric (member Elfun Society), Omega Watch Corporation, Eisenstadt (Lenox China subsidiary), and Bufkor, Inc., and locally with Nordstrom from 1994 to 2004. He enjoyed sailing, motorcycles, photography, watch collecting, and West Virginia University Sports activity. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Elizabeth ( Bette ) Lewis Wilson, their son David Wilson and wife Colleen of Lake Bluff, Illinois; two sons, John Stewart “Scott” Wilson and wife Diane of Huntington Beach, CA, and Robert Wilson and wife Sandra of La Grange, IL; one daughter, Sandra Keating and husband Patrick of Plainfield, IL; one sister, Jean Cox of Lexington, KY; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Lydia, Jon, Chris, Ryan, Sarah, Chase, and Jacque. Family and Friends are invited to Jack's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 3 to 5 P.M. Memorial service and interment will be held on Monday, November 10, at 1 P.M. at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
