John Willie Rollins, “Johnny”, 58, a 25-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Oregon, died on Monday, March 18 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.
John was born on November 23, 1954 in Washington, D.C. to the late Zona and Milton Rollins, Sr., he worked as a carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his companion, Nemo.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother, Robert Rollins.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Tina Shelton of Oregon; one sister; Donna Dee Brown of Edgewater; 4 brothers, Kenneth and his wife Peggy Rollins of Lusby, Milton Rollins, Jr. of Melbourne, Florida, George and his wife Lisa Rollins of Prince Frederick and Charles Rollins of Savannah, Georgia. Also survived by three granddaughters; Heather, Jackie and Champie.
A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held on Saturday, March 30 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037.
