oving Catholic Christian is in the person of Josefa Gregorio Dienzo, born in Cavite City, Philippines. Her love, unfailing loyalty to GOD, she used to be the member of the "Spirit of the Living Prayer Community", St. Columba Church, Oxon Hill, Maryland.
They called her "Mama Dienzo" to her closed friends, "Lola Mang" to her grandchilren, and "Mang" to her children, "Tia Uping" to her nieces/nephews, and "Hopia" to her parents & siblings.
She was retired teacher; she is survived by her children, Virgilio Domingo, Danila Ortiz, Betchu Serwit,Jun Dienzo, Pete Dienzo, Rita Dienzo, and a sibling, Ligaya Gregorio and lots of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
She passed away in Pensacola, Florida after living in 4 years in Nursing Home and her wish is to come back in Maryland be buried beside her deceased husband, Benito Dienzo.
On Saturday, December 11, 2010. Relatives and friends are invited to Josefa's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Friday, December 17 from 5 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 18 at 10:30 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
