Josefina Alfiler Borbon - Obituary

osefina "Penny" Alfiler Borbon, 77, passed away on September 23, 2019. Born on February 19, 1942 to the late Tomas Alfiler and Beatriz Del Rosario in Manila, Philippines. Josefina had retired as a Registered Nurse at the Greater Southeast Community Hospital. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, watching movies, and being a social butterfly. Josefina is also predeceased by her son, Joel. She is survived by her husband, Jose Borbon, daughter, Gigi Blacetti, granddaughter, Christina and numerous other family members. Josefina's Celebration of Life will be held at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745 on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mary's Piscataway Catholic Church (main church), 13401 Piscataway Rd., Clinton, MD 20735 on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Piscataway Church Cemetery.
