Joseph Dine - Obituary

oseph "Joe" Harman Dine, Jr., 77, a 25-year resident of Crofton, MD, and previously of Edgewater, MD, died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on Sunday, December 1, 2024, following a one-month battle with cancer. Born in Queens, NY, on February 1, 1947, Joe honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He held multiple roles throughout his career, including being a meat cutter, meat manager, wicker furniture maker, insurance agent, and travel agent. After his retirement, Joe became a missionary to Cuba, founding and leading Bridging the Nations Ministries International in 2015, a non-profit ministry that supports and trains Cuban Pastors and provides food and medicine to the Cuban people. He made several missionary trips yearly to Cuba. He was an active member of Severna Park Baptist Church. Joe enjoyed golf, worship, Washington football, and being with his grandson. He is survived by his two children, Jason Dine (wife Stephanie) and grandson DJ of Annapolis, MD, and Kathy Hill (Husband Jerric Hill) of Brooklyn Park, MD. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, December 8, at 4:00 p.m. at Severna Park Baptist Church, 506 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Interment is private.
