Joe (Joe Bear), Joseph Benton Kirby, III, gently and peacefully took the hand of his big sister, Linda Jo, and together they walked through the gates of paradise to eternal peace and joy. Joe’s family would like to invite his friends to celebrate the life of perhaps the most phenomenal husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, one could ever hope to be blessed with. This CELEBRATION will take place at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 7365 Indian Head Highway, Bryans Road, Maryland 20616, on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at 3:30 p.m.—the occasion of Joe’s and Buffy’s 33rd Wedding Anniversary. “Wither thou goest, I will follow.” Ruth 1:16 BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME For all those times you stood by me, for all the truth you made me see, For all the joy you brought to my life, for all the wrong that you made right, For every dream you made come true, for all the love I found in you, I’m everything I am, BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME! I had your love I had it all. I'm grateful for each day you gave me! Maybe I don't know much, but I know this much is true, I AM BLESSED BECAUSE I AM LOVED BY YOU!! Pastor Christopher Michael Ogne (“Big Daddy’s” Son-in-Law) will lead the Celebration, at Joe’s most favorite time of year—the birth and celebration of Jesus Christ, our risen Lord and Savior! Friends are asked to contribute any special moments, songs, good times, and/or mementos, shared with Joe. Please contact his wife Buffy at 301-292-0294. We would love to include these in his Celebration! We are asking that in lieu of flowers (the Sanctuary will be filled with Christmas poinsettias as it was on this special occasion 33 years ago), donations be made to: • The Lutheran Church of Our Savior Building Fund, 7365 Indian Head Highway, Bryans Road, Maryland 20616 (Joe was most excited about seeing and singing in the new Sanctuary when dedicated.) Friends and family are invited to a portrait of Joe's life on Sunday, December 23 at 2:30 pm directly preceding his Celebration Service beginning at 3:30 pm.
