Joseph Moreland - Obituary

oseph D. Moreland, “Joe”, 69, a lifetime resident of Maryland, passed away on October 4, 2021 at Reston Medical Center. Joe was born on October 23, 1951 to the late John and Peggy Millinor. He was a graduate of Duval High School in 1969. He also graduated from HVAC School and was a member of Steamfitters Local 602 for over 30 years. Friends and family could always count on Joe to fix their heating and air conditioning problems. Joe was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. His interests included fast pitch softball, duckpin bowling, playing in horseshoe leagues and he was a pool shark. Joe is survived by his wife Jenny Arnold, his children, John, Kimberly, Lynne and Karen, his siblings; Maureen Spalding and her husband Chuck, Patsy Carey and her husband Brad, Kathy Liskey, Vicky Clark and her husband Denny and Marianne Poss and her husband Doug. He was blessed to have grandchildren from all his children. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joe’s life on Monday, October 11 from 11am until his funeral service begins at 1 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
