LICK HERE FOR JOYCE'S VIDEO TRIBUTE Joyce Dick, 79, a resident of Annapolis for 13 years and previously of Gulfport, Miss., died Oct. 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of complications due to a stroke. Born in Roosevelt, N.Y., on Nov. 22, 1927, Mrs. Dick received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Alfred University in New York. She worked as an engineer after graduation and then was a homemaker most of her life. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, she was instrumental in the 24-hour adoration at the church where she was a member of the Legion of Mary. She also was a Eucharistic minister who visited the sick in nursing homes and hospitals. Sewing, baking, gardening and her grandchildren were among her interests. Surviving are her husband, Edward F. Dick, whom she married Feb. 9, 1952; four sons, Edward F. Dick Jr. of Shady Side, Joseph Dick of Wheaton, Ill., William Dick of Lakewood, Ohio, and Robert Dick of Annapolis; two daughters, Tina Nunn of North Reading, Mass., and Gina Haske of Annapolis; two brothers, Bud Killian of Mount Jackson, Va., and Bob Killian of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and 19 grandchildren. She was the mother of the late James Dick. Joyce's Life Celebration will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 26 at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 29 in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Adoration Chapel, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD 21401
