Judith Wetherill - Obituary

udith Helen Wetherill (Pilger) age 67, passed peacefully, surrounded by family on December 7, 2015. Born June 25, 1948 in St. Paul, MN to Richard and Florence Pilger. Judith graduated highschool from Marymount International, Rome, Italy in 1966. She went to St. Theresa College, Winona, MN. She was welcomed into Heaven by her two children Johnny, age 4 and Jeff, age 19, husband James Davies, and her loving parents. She is loved and missed by her husband, Archie Wetherill of Ft. Washington, MD; her siblings, James R. Pilger (Bernice) of Farmington, MN; John F. Pilger (Doris Jo) of Lubbock, TX; JoAnn M. Hoff (Doug) of Monroe, WA; numerous nieces and nephews, great niece and godchild, sisters-in-laws Meg Droegemeyer of Bowie, VA; Nancy Burns (Rob) of Fairfax, VA; Aunt Helen Johnson of White Bear Lake, MN; and numerous cousins of MN. Judith worked with the Prince George County Public Schools. She was given the honor and award of Outstanding Supporting Employees' Award. She especially enjoyed teaching those youth who needed extra help with learning. Judy will be especially remembered for her generous and loving way, her gentle guidance, and caring nature. She was always very family orientated, willing to lend a hand where ever needed, and had a strong faith. She is known for her strength during life's trials and her joy for life will always be a good example of how to live for those of us who were lucky enough to have her in our lives. Family and friends are invited on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 for a gathering from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Inurnment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham MD. Memorial contributions to Children's National Medical Center would be appreciated.
