Judith Ann White - Obituary

udith Ann White (née Fisher), 82, of Annapolis, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Born on February 2, 1942, in Cumberland, MD, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Maynard and Marion Ellen Fisher. She graduated from Fort Hill High School and furthered her education at Frostburg State and Towson State, embodying a lifelong commitment to learning. Judith dedicated her life to education, beginning her career in Allegheny County before teaching at Glen Burnie High School and Anne Arundel Community College. Her passion for knowledge was paralleled by her love for hobbies such as swimming and quilting, which she pursued avidly throughout her life. Judith was a devoted member of the Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edgewater, MD where she found a community of faith and service. Judith was the beloved mother of Charles, Jr., Andrew and Stephen White and loving grandmother of Dalton, Ethan, Hunter and Ian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sawin White, Sr. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 8, at 10:00 AM at Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 W. Central Ave., Edgewater, MD with interment following at 1:45 pm at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations to Orphan Grain Train or Annapolis Mission are appreciated, honoring Judith’s spirit of generosity and community engagement.
