udith Wilson “Judyâ€, 65, a 42-year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Goldsboro, NC, died at her home on June 27, 2010 following a 9-month battle with cancer. Born on September 26, 1944 in Washington, DC to the late Ernest A. Allen and Susie E. Kettmer, Judy graduated from St. Ambrose Catholic Elementary School in Cheverly, MD, St. Patrick's Academy in Washington, DC and Lutheran School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD. She began her nursing career at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington before moving onto the Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents in Cheltenham, MD and the Crownsville State Hospital. She also held a real estate license. Judy loved her dogs, cars and trucks, golf, collectible figurines, word puzzles and trivia games, traveling and going to the beach. She especially enjoyed spending time at Marty's Playland in Ocean City, MD. She was popular among her family and friends for having formulated a deliciously unique and distinctive variant of pasta/spaghetti sauce.
Judy is survived by her husband Steven Wilson whom she married in 1966, her son, Jeffrey (Michelle) Wilson of Millersville, MD and her sisters, Sarah Francis Taylor of Winterhaven, FL and Susan Jane Carr of Annapolis. She was also the sister of the late Catherine Wolfe, Grace Joan Francis and Mary Margaret Eckel.
Friends are invited to a Judy's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, July 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment private.
