Julian D. Clark-Vance - Obituary

J

ulian DeWitt Clark-Vance February 3, 1984 – May 24, 2021 Suddenly, swept up by angels called from the Most High, a divine departure on Monday, May 24th, our beloved entered into eternal peace with our loving GOD. Julian will be remembered for his gentle loving spirit, a man of quiet nature, compassionate heart, caring; and known for masterful antics as a jokester with an unmatched sense of humor. To friends and family he was known as the protector, the guardian, the peacemaker; he didn’t believe in trouble, too many other good things in life to live, love, laugh and enjoy. Julian was devoted and betrothed to Charlene Harris; their love now and forever memorialized. Julian’s pride was being a deeply committed, endearing, loving father to his blended children: daughter Gabrielle Harris, twins son Caleb Harris and daughter Kayleigh Harris; and young sons Julian Clark-Vance, Jr., and Mason Clark-Vance. A family man, Julian was close to his three sisters, Amber, Zsa Zsa, and Tara (cousin), and held a brotherly bond with best friend Ronald “Ronnie" Ross, Jr. Julian and his sisters along with a group of longtime friends, who were befriended since middle school, together shared weekends, holidays and special engagements on a regular basis. Julian peaceful, caring, laidback nature was a badge of honor to his parents, Veda and Shawn, they said from his birth he was a good child; as a man he was a good man, a son to be proud of in life and memory. Julian was raised in a protective circle of family, established in a deep understanding of the holiness of GOD – “the way, the truth and the life”. It was instilled in him at an early age by his grandmother Brenda Vance: “I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14:3-4 Julian knew the way, followed the truth and lived a good earthly life. Rest in Peace, peacemaker. He is lovingly remembered and survived by his mother Veda N. Clark, father Shawn Vance, fiancée Charlene Harris, children Gabrielle Harris, Caleb Harris, Kayleigh Harris, Julian Clark-Vance, Jr., and Mason Clark-Vance; sisters Amber Clark, Zsa Zsa Clark, cousin Tara Clark, brothers Mekhi Vance and Darius Vance; aunts Rose Marie Holmes (David), Desiree Tyner (Steve), uncles Lenten Clark (Nana), Van Clark (Debbie), Guy D. Clark, and devoted grandmother Brenda Vance, grandfather Lafayette Vance (Venice) and uncles Myron Vance (Heather) and Francois Vance (Jennifer); special family members Sherry McKinley, Aaron Clark, Robert Boyer, Taylor Bost and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. At the Majesty of the Pearly Gates of Heaven awaits daughter Ava Clark-Vance, aunt Tina Clark, grandmother Claudette L. Clark, and cousins Eric Clark and Tasha Taylor.
