ulius Augustus Marsh, 76, of Fort Washington, Maryland and formerly of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on 20 July 2016 at Fort Washington Medical Center in Maryland. Born in Prichard, Alabama, he was the son of the late Augusta (Barney) and Alphonso H. Marsh, Sr.

Marsh grew up strong and in defiance of a still segregated South, graduating from Tuskegee University with an engineering degree in 1962. He participated in the military. He was married to the late Marva W. Marsh. His professional career included working as a defense contractor with the U.S. Department of Defense, and later becoming an entrepreneur, starting his own cleaning services company as well as managing tenants and properties in the Washington, DC metro area. He was closest to his older brother Alphonso Howard Marsh, III, who died in 2011.
Marsh is survived by his two nephews, Preston H. Marsh of Prichard, Alabama and Alphonso Van Marsh, of Beirut, Lebanon and other extended family.
A 2:00pm memorial service will take place at Pine Crest Cemetery Mausoleum, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, in Mobile, Alabama on Thursday, 18 August. Julius Marsh will be laid to rest alongside his mother and aunt Esther Mae Barney Findley. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the "Alphonso H. and June E. Marsh Memorial Scholarship" care of Jennifer Lisk, Chair, Scholarship Committee, Medway High School, 88 Summer St., Medway MA 02053.
