Karin Anderson - Obituary

arin “Shnutz” Anderson, 87, a 14-year resident of Annapolis, Maryland and previously of Bloomfield, Connecticut passed away on August 18, 2026 after a 6-month battle with congestive heart failure. Born on March 16, 1939 in Hamburg, Germany to the late Johannes A. Sievers and Gertrud T. Kioza, Karin graduated high school and went on to have a career as a secretary and model. In her spare time, she enjoyed fashion, playing tennis, and traveling. In addition to her parents, Karin was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, John Anderson, Jr. and her son, Justin Anderson. She is survived by her son, Tyson Anderson of Hillsboro, VA; her sisters, Monica Sievers and Cirsten Sievers of Hamburg, Germany; and her grandsons, John S. Anderson and Luke S. Anderson. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Karin's life on Friday, September 18 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
