Kathleen Patterson - Obituary

athleen S. "Kitty" Patterson, 80, of Crofton and previously of Hyattsville, died March 31 at the Washington, D.C., Hospital Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Patterson was born May 6, 1927, in Rustburg, Va., and graduated from Rustburg High School. She retired after 37 years as a telephone directory clerk. She was a member of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Hyattsville for 40 years, and also of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed reading, travel, exercise and time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Patterson, who died in July of 1989. Survivors include two sons, Samuel M. Patterson, II of Deale and Terry L. Patterson of Edgewater; and 3 grandchildren. Family and friends may join in her Life Celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wedneday, April 2, at The George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where funeral service will be held on Thusday, April 3 at 11 A.M. Interment Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, Va.
