athryn DiMeglio, 91, of Annapolis, MD died on November 4, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes.
Born April 14, 1918 in Hazelton, PA to the late Mary and Phillip Gallagher, she was a graduate of Manor High School in Millersville, PA in 1937 and Lancaster Business College in 1940. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife. Mrs. DiMeglio worked at The Pentagon after arriving in Wash DC in 1942 and was assigned to the Top Secret Room. Kathryn published her life story in 2000 as "Kitty's Vignnettes" to recount her full and fruitful life.
She was the devoted wife of the late Julian DiMeglio, whom she married in 1944 and who died in 1984; loving mother of Connie Maione of Annapolis, MD, Joseph DiMeglio of Annapolis, MD, Marsha (Mike) Pfunder of Davidsonville, MD, James (Joann) DiMeglio of Bethesda, MD and Kathleen DiMeglio of Alrlington, VA; sister of James Gallagher of Hazelton, PA and the late Mary Kelly, who died in 2007. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Kathryn's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, November 9 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD at 10:30am. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
