athryn Davidson McCaffrey, 91, of Annapolis, MD passed away on January 22, 2017. She also lived in New Carrollton, Edgewater, and Salisbury, MD as well as Delaware and Florida. Kathryn was born on October 14, 1925, in Washington, DC to the late Alfred and Lillian Davidson. Kathryn received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois. She worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, DC, retiring as the Head Dietician after more than 30 years of service. Kathryn was a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies of the Elks, Job’s Daughters, American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies of the Shrine.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 and a half years, Richard A. McCaffrey, Kathryn is survived by two sons, Richard McCaffrey (wife Patty) of Harwood, MD and Kevin McCaffrey (wife Debbie) of Morgantown, WV; a daughter, Karen Cook (husband David) of Mayo, MD; three grandsons, David Cook Jr., Jason McCaffrey and Timothy Cook; two granddaughters, Lillian Farr and Amanda Fornaro; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on January 27 at St. Andrew the Fisherman Episcopal Church, 1183 Carrs Wharf Road, Mayo, MD. Burial will be private.
