enneth “Ken” Charles Colson, 77, a four-year resident of the Annapolis area, and previously of the Federal Hill area of Baltimore, died of heart failure on Saturday, December 13 at his home. Born on October 30, 1948, in Baltimore to the late Francis and Evelyn Colson, Ken graduated from high school, attended college and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged he was a police officer in Baltimore City and with Amtrak. He enjoyed watching old war movies, sci fi and the extraterrestrial, but he loved spending time with his great-grandsons, Jojo and Luke. In addition to his great-grandsons, Ken is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Mardy Colson; his step-children, Glenn Lehman of Baltimore, MD, Chris Lehman of Reno, NV and Robin Felbinger of Jarrettsville, MD; his siblings, Robert Colson of Ferndale, MD, Dennis Colson of Manchester, MD and Christine Burkhead of Halethorpe, MD and his grandchildren, Ciera Addison and Cody and Chloe Lehman. Ken’s memorial service will be held at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Monday, December 22 at 12 noon with reception to follow.
