Kenneth H. Folse - Obituary

enneth H. Folse passed away peacefully on May 24, 2021, at age 95. He was born on February 3, 1926, in Evanston, Illinois. He was the only child of Julius and Marie (Hemke) Folse, both of whom predeceased him. Kenneth will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary Jameson Folse; his children, Jean Grady (Kevin) of Columbia, MD, Tom Folse (Terri), of Springfield, VA, stepchildren, Jackie Grabis-Bunker (Steve), of La Plata, MD, and Victor Grabis (Linda), of Brandywine, Md; his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. After graduating in 1944 from Miami High School in Florida, Kenneth was drafted into the Army. When the war ended, he received a degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University. His engineering career spanned four decades working for both private industry and the federal government. He continued to work as a consultant after his retirement in 1992. Kenneth was a voracious reader, loved musicals, participated in the Senior Olympics, and had season tickets to Arena Stage and the Kennedy Center. He had a love of genealogy and spent hours researching his family roots. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Please meet outside the front office of Resurrection Cemetery by 10:25 a.m. if attending.
