Kenneth Morton - Obituary

enneth “Ken” D. Morton, 89, of Severna Park, MD and resident of Anne Arundel County for thirty five years died at Heartlands of Severna Park on December 13, 2008 of natural causes. Born, January 17, 1919, in Caperton, West Virginia to the late Raymond E. and Bettie Dorsett Morton, he attended high school in Hinton, West Virginia. Mr. Morton served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired from Citizen's Bank in Cheverly, MD. Ken was a charter member of Crofton Community United Methodist Church. He enjoyed going on car trips, reading, big band music and playing golf. He was the beloved husband of the late Eunice W. Morton, whom he married on October 31, 1942 and who died on October 30, 2007; father of Jana Bolster of Edgewater, MD and Betty Fioramonti of Aldie, VA; brother of the late Earl Raymond Morton; also survived by 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD, together with his wife. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or to a Veteran's charity of ones choice.
