Kenneth Matthew Walton - Obituary

enneth M. “Kenny” Walton, 58, a 25 year resident of Shady Side, died on February 15, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was born on December 17, 1963 in Washington, DC to Lawrence F. Walton, Sr. and Agnes T. Lyons Walton and was a 1981 graduate of Bladensburg High School. Kenny was a sheet metal mechanic for 40 years and belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100 union. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, spending time at the beach, hunting, fishing and various other outdoor activities. Besides his parents, Kenny is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Lisa Walton; his children, Kenny, Jr. and Kaitlyn Walton, both of Shady Side; his stepsons, Ryan Kaye of Saint Marys, GA and Mark Kaye, Jr., of White Pine, TN; his siblings, Lawrence Walton, Jr. of North Beach, MD, Dennis Walton of Centreville, MD, Michael Walton of Kent Island and Wendy Holloway of Frederick; with numerous nieces and nephews, including Julia Brand and Marcus Garrido, both of San Diego, CA. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 11 am at Holy Family Church, 826 West Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. For those who are unable to attend, the funeral will be live-streamed through the church's Facebook page BY CLICKING HERE. Immediately following the Mass, everyone is invited to celebrate Kenny's life at the Knights of Columbus, 6111 Columbian Way, Bowie, MD.
