enneth “Ken” Theodore Wood, Jr., 47, a lifetime resident of Edgewater, MD died June 11, 2008 at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood, MD of lung cancer after a 2 and half year battle. Born, August 30, 1960 in Annapolis, MD, he graduated from Southern High School and received his A.A. degree from Anne Arundel Community College, then graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a degree in Information Systems. He was a systems analyst with advertising.com for the past 3 years. Prior to that he worked at ADS, Inc. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, crabbing, vegetable gardening, boating and golfing. Survivors include his wife Margaret L. Wood, who he married May 6, 1984, his children, Kenneth (Ted) T. Wood, III, Sarah K. Wood, Luke A. Wood, Julianna M. Wood, Jeremy M. Wood and Jamie Lyn M. Wood all of Edgewater, MD. Beloved son of Evelyn F. and Kenneth T. Wood, Sr. of Edgewater, MD; brother of Stephen H. Wood of Edgewater, MD, E. Jean Tinsley of Annapolis, MD and Luanne A. Flynn of Damascus, MD. Friends are invited to Ken's Life Celebration on Monday, June 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Tuesday, June 17 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Cemetery, West River, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
