Kevin Michael Dove - Obituary

evin Michael Dove of Churchton, MD passed away on July 4, 2018 at the age of 61. Born on July 12, 1956 in Harwood, MD, Kevin attended Southern High School. He was a workaholic by nature and began a career in the construction industry at the age of 17. He eventually went into business for himself and became the owner of K&D Construction which specializes in roofing. Kevin had a passion for thoroughbred racing and was the proud owner of several horses. He also loved dogs and was a member of the Patapsco Ridge Beagle Club in Lothian. In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed playing in poker tournaments. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Dove, and his brother Dennis “Chuckie” Dove, Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cordie Reneva Dove; three sons, Robert “Bobby” Dove of Edgewater, MD, Kenneth “Ken” Dove of Crownsville, MD and Kevin “J.R.” Dove from Maryland’s eastern shore; three brothers, Brandon, Mark and Tracey Dove; and five grandchildren, Ariana, Jaxson, Kyler, Kamden and Kristopher Dove. Friends are invited to celebrate Kevin’s life with his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater where his funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11.
