Kevin Michael Garvey - Obituary

t is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Kevin Michael Garvey of Cary, NC on Friday, September 23, 2022, at the age of 55 years. In life, he was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. Earlier in life, he served honorably in the US Marine Corps Reserve. Afterwards, he spent 13 years as a State Farm Agent in Cary, NC where in recent years, he was an active and valued member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. Kevin is leaving behind a community where he was beloved by many. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Lorianne Whiting Garvey; his children, Kieran C. Hooker (Erick), Callaghan W. Garvey and Katheryn A. Garvey; his grandchildren, Addilyn, Everett and Theodore; his three brothers, Bill (Carolyn), Sean (Stephanie) and Scott (Becky) Garvey; his sister, Erin and his partner for the last 3 years, Jennifer Palermo, along with his friends and brothers from the CVMA. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, William Joseph Garvey and Janice Ann Brown Garvey. Friends are invited to celebrate Kevin’s life on Friday, October 7 from 4 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 9 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD.
