evin Foley Humphrey of Grasonville, MD died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD of natural causes after a lengthy illness.
Born September 3, 1946 to the late Kenneth and Patricia Foley, her formative years were spent in Clifton, VA, before moving to Fairfax, VA. She attended East Carolina University and was a member of Alpha Zi Delta sorority. After college, Kevin traveled through Europe for the summer, then came home to marry her high school sweetheart, Dee Humphrey. She taught school in Fairfax County and Prince George's County, then worked as a Media Specialist in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She and two partners owned a silk screening and embroidery company called Graphic Originals. Dee and Kevin were members of a group called, The Stunt Club, which challenged people to plan unusual activities on designated weekends. She and Dorothy Ridley wrote a book about the club's adventures called, The Best Stunt Ever. Besides being an author, Kevin was an artist and an avid reader, but enjoyed most being in the company of her friends and family.
Surviving is her loving husband, Dee and their three children, Bronwyn Leonard of Ocean City, MD, Hetty Yusavitz of Grasonville, MD and Brittain Humphrey of San Diego, CA; sister of Kenneth (Carol) Foley, Jr. of Upper Marlboro, MD, Karen P. Foley of Upper Marlboro, MD and Michael Foley of Eureka Springs, AR. She is also survived by two amazing grandchildren and two wonderful sons-in-law. Services and interment private.
