evin Edward Joyce, 75 was born December 7, 1934 in Boston Mass. After a brief illness he passed at his home "Bridge Hill", which is located in Davidsonville, Md. Kevin lived his young life in Randolph, Mass. He was a star Baseball player. His legal training was at George Washington University School of Law. Kevin was an outstanding Patent and litigation Lawyer practicing with Cushman and Darby and Cushman of Washington D.C. and served as Managing partner. After his retirement from Law he became a "fulltime" sportsman in ice-hockey and played every chance he could get with the "Gerihatricks", even in the middle of the night. He also enjoyed mountain Biking which took him, Sabine and friends to most interesting places. Most recently he developed a true love of croquet, traveling to West Palm Beach, Florida for advanced instruction. He was a player extraordinary with the "West River Wickets". Besides his athletic career he performed guitar and vocal with a Band called "Noisy Waters". Kevin began his music-career by having piano lessons by the funeral director of a funeral home, which were disrupted many times by funerals. Their band played mostly folksongs. They were very popular, playing for many events around town. Kevin was a member of the Davidsonville Ruritan Club where he served with pride as a chair of the Scholarship Committee His expertise on the farm was fully appreciated. And he was generous to provide legal advise to all his friends. Kevin's parents Genevieve Brown Joyce and Edward Joyce predeceased him. His family includes his wife Sabine Joyce, daughter's Petra Joyce, Kara Joyce Getchell and her Husband Reed and beloved grandson Brexton Edward Getchell, from Unity, Maine. "Kevin never met a stranger." A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, Md. 21035 on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10am.
