Kim Aaron Weikle - Obituary

im Aaron Weikle, age 68, of Lothian, Maryland passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, after a long struggle with cancer. Kim was born on January 1, 1955, in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He was the middle of three sons of Douglas Weikle and Gladys (Parker) Weikle of Saskatchewan, Canada. The family had moved from Saskatchewan to Wisconsin as his father pursued greater opportunities as a radio news broadcaster and writer. The family eventually settled in Bowie, Maryland in 1969, where Kim attended Belair Jr. High and Bowie High School, graduating in the class of 1974. Following graduation, Kim worked as a cook and manager in local restaurants before beginning a career as a finance professional in several banking and lending companies, including M& T Bank. A personable and outgoing soul, he loved to be surrounded by family and friends; coaching kids' sports, playing games, telling stories, and making everyone smile with his infectious laugh! Kim is survived by his wife of 14 years Millie of Lothian; mother Gladys (now 103 years young); sons Steven and Kevin, both of Bowie; brother Harlan (Nancy) of Savannah, Georgia; and brother Scott (Karen) of Deale, Maryland. Kim was preceded in death by his father Douglas. A family service and interment will be in his parent's hometown in Saskatchewan, Canada at a future date.
