Kirk A. Rankin - Obituary

irk Alvin Rankin, 59, a 14-year resident of Riva, MD and previously of St. Mary’s County, MD, passed away on December 30, 2025. Kirk was born on December 16, 1966, in Washington D.C. to Richard Rankin of Upper Marlboro, MD, and the late Lois Helen Kapp. He attended Chopticon High School in Morganza, MD where he was a star soccer player before going on to work in the printing industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. In his free time, Kirk enjoyed fishing and bowling, hobbies that brought him both relaxation and joy. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brothers Bart and Brett Rankin, and a niece, Samantha Rankin. In addition to his father, Kirk is survived by his sisters, Renee (Dan) Enright of Greenville, TN and Janine (Chris) Malafouris of Milford, MI, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. All services for Kirk are private. He will be laid to rest at Alto-Reste Park in Altoona, PA. Arrangements for Kirk are private.
