itty Jane Simpson Kitty Jane Simpson, “Miss Kitty”, a resident of Shady Side, MD., died on October 1, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Miss Kitty was 73. She was born February 6, 1939 in Saltsville, Virginia to the late Charles and Lizzy Roberts, and was a graduate of Glade Springs High School. Kitty worked as a fingerprint analyst for the F.B.I. Miss Kitty was a member of the Ladies of the Elks in Deale and enjoyed cheering for the Redskins, playing the slots in Delaware, putting together picture puzzles and crabbing. She especially enjoyed and adored her nine grandchildren. Kitty was predeceased by 11 siblings. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Simpson of Shady Side, her three daughters; Colleen Hartzler, Lisa Sheriff and Kathleen Porter and one sister Patricia Moore. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Bradley and Jonathan Porter, Jessica Ewing, Olivia,Mackensie and Samantha Sheriff, Leah and Elizabeth Hartzler and Julie Porter. Friends are invited to Kitty's Life Celebration on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 1-4pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment private.
