arkin Alexandra Yearley Bauersfeld, 29, cherished daughter of Durant Y. and Harry Bauersfeld of Annapolis, beloved sister and best friend of Ashton E. Bauersfeld of Alexandria, Va., and adored granddaughter of Norma C. Bauersfeld of Baltimore, died suddenly after a short illness on Dec. 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Larkin was born Dec. 30, 1978 in Annapolis and was baptized at St. Anne's church where she has continued to be a member. She graduated from Annapolis High in 2000. Larkin worked as a data entry specialist in the office at St. Anne's School using her specially equipped laptop computer. Despite her physical disabilities, Larkin also devoted much of her time to volunteer work including reading to children at Creative Gardens Daycare Center and doing data entry work at Central Elem. and Parole Elem. Schools. This past summer, Larkin raised more than $2,200 for the “Every Step Counts†fundraiser for Bello Machre. Larkin had been especially busy during the past month with her thriving specialty return address label business which had over 100 clients in ten states as far away as WA, WI, AZ and FL. Larkin loved gardening and frequently commented that ‘when I grow up I want to be a gardener just like my motherâ€. Her other interests included singing, reading, traveling and the computer. To celebrate Larkin's life a Memorial Service will be held at St. Anne's Church in Annapolis on January 10th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bello Machre which has supported her needs for the past ten years. (www.bellomachre.org)
