arry Vernon Christenson ******* A Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 2:30pm at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD. **************** Larry V. Christenson, 55, a lifelong resident of Edgewater, MD died on Wednesday, February 17, 2009 at his residence. Born December 29, 1954 in Annapolis, MD to the late Francis and Vera Christenson, he graduated from Southern High School in Harwood. He worked as an HVAC technician; retiring from Griffith Energy Services. Larry was a member of the American Legion in Crownsville and enjoyed gardening, fishing & crabbing, Bluegrass music, playing the guitar and banjo, cruising and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and Banjo 1 & Banjo 2. Larry is survived by his daughters, Jennifer and Sadie Christenson and Rachel Brady, all of Mayo; his brothers Kenneth Christenson of Edgewater and the late David Christenson; his sisters Brenda Hull and Christie Sutphin, both of Mayo, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Haley and Jack Brady, David Brady, III and Miles “Will” Young. Friends are invited to celebrate Larry's life on Monday, February 22 from 1-4pm at the American Legion Post 226, 830 Mayo Rd. Mayo, MD. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made a Memorial Fund in Larry's memory to be named soon. Arrangements are by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, Edgewater, MD.
