aurence Edward Boido, Jr. Laurence “Larry” Edward Boido, Jr., 84, of Annapolis and formerly of Rockville, died March 14 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of acute leukemia. Born May 4, 1929 in Kansas City, MO, Larry attended St. Theresa’s Academy in Coral Gables, FL and the University of Miami. Throughout his career, he worked for Devlin Lumber Co., Oxford Development Co., Richmarr Construction Co. and Hearth and Home. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. Larry was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, the Fleet Reserve, the American Legion, the Moose Lodge and the Sons of Italy. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia Joyce Boido, whom he married on April 18, 1953; one son, Laurence Boido, III of Jeffersonton, VA; three daughters, Susan Winstead of Columbia, Denise Boido of Woodbine and Joyce Martin of Glenwood; four grandsons, Laurence IV, Dalton and Logan Boido of Jeffersonton, VA and Spencer Martin of Glenwood; four granddaughters, Ashley Jacobs of Gaithersburg, Brittany Winstead of Elkridge, Mallory and Taylor Martin of Glenwood; one great-grandson, Landon Jacobs. Friends are invited to Larry’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 19 from 4pm to 7pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 20 at 10:30am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to the Lupus Foundation of America, 200 L St. NW #410, Washington, DC 20006 OR the American Diabetes Association, 1400 16th St. NW, Washington, DC 20036.
