Laurence William Fitzgerald - Obituary

aurence "Bucky" William Fitzgerald, III, a 21-year resident of Berwyn Heights, MD and previously of Bowie, MD, and Greenbelt, MD died on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born August 14, 1957, in Washington, D.C. to the late Geraldine E. and Laurence W. Fitzgerald, Jr., he graduated from St. Hughs School in Greenbelt, MD, DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, MD and Prince George's Community College. Bucky was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Greenbelt and was an avid Washington sports fan and loved music. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverly J. Fitzgerald; a son, Laurence W. Fitzgerald, IV; five siblings, Vito Ascosci, Maureen Aichele, Eileen Uber, Kathleen Schiavone and Celine Butland; 15 nieces and nephews; five great-nieces; and three great-nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate Bucky's life at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, March 18 from 9:30 a.m. until his memorial service begins at 10:30 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
