ee Alderdice
Lee Edward Alderdice, 79, a resident of Annapolis for over 32 years and previously of Bethesda, died of colon cancer July 17 in his home after an illness lasting a year and a half.
Mr. Alderice was born June 20, 1929, in San Benito, Texas, and received a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in business from the University of Texas.
He was self-employed as an asset manager in real estate and finance.
He was a member of an honorary society called Cowboy on Campus and the Sigma Nu fraternity at the University of Texas and served on the Board of Directors of The Benedictine School.
He enjoyed sailing, and supported the arts at the Walters Gallery.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Cynthia L. Alderdice; one son, Kirk B. Alderdice of Potomac; one daughter, Cheryl L. Alderdice of Silver Spring; one brother, William B. Alderdice of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m., and interment is private.
