Leticia Lechoco - Obituary

eticia E. Lechoco, died in the Lord on November 6, 2010 at SHW-Hadley of congestive heart failure. Lety was born on September 26, 1934 in Masinloc, Zambales, Philippines; daughter of the late Emeterio and Mercedes Ebba. She was a scion of the Elicaño family of Zambales and the Juico family of Pampanga. Lety graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a major in English and Mathematics from the Centro Escolar University. She was a law scholar at the University of the East where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws. She was a member of the Philippine-American Bar Association. As a volunteer worker, Lety organized the Zambaleneos and built the Mrs. Philippines Home for Senior Citizens in Oxon Hill, MD. Visitation and prayers will be held from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD, Tel. (301) 567-9424. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Saint Ignatius Catholic church, 2315 Brinkley Road, Oxon Hill, MD. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Nap; children: Bong, Bing, Don, King, Prince, Sonny and Lady; daughters-in-law: Marilu, Carole, Hilda and Agie; grandchildren: Leanne, Christine, Matthew and Mark Anthony.
