Linda M. Cox - Obituary

inda M. Cox, 74, a 45-year resident of Edgewater, MD, and previously of Essington, PA, died following a lengthy illness on June 13, 2024, at her home. Born October 8, 1949, in Chester, PA, to the late George and Alma Kemeza, she graduated from St. Clements Catholic School and Bertram High School in Philadelphia, PA. Linda worked for the Holiday Inn Corporation and the U.S. Senate in Washington, DC. She was a longtime member of Holy Family Church in Davidsonville, MD, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater, MD. Linda enjoyed gardening, boating, fishing, crabbing, and splitting time at her Florida House. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael Cox; two sons, Michael E. Cox, Jr. (Janine) and David Cox (Mary), both of Edgewater, MD; a sister, Sandra Geissdorfer of Rosehaven, MD; three grandchildren, Michael Allen Cox, Brooke Belt, and Megan Cox; and one great-grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Linda's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, on Thursday, June 20, from 5 pm until her memorial service begins at 6 pm.
