L

inda “Gram” Kammer, 72, and a 51 year resident of Mayo, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023. Born in Washington, DC on April 24, 1951 to the late Hoyt and Betty Mae Butler, she grew up in Deale-Churchton and graduated from Southern High School in 1970. She spent many years as a caretaker for family and friends, and her hobbies included photography, fishing and crabbing. She enjoyed butterflies and hummingbirds, gardening and her fish ponds. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were her world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Burgess and Barbara Beiler, and a son-in-law, Christian Menk. Gram is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Kammer; her children, Amy (Charles) Sparacino of Mayo and Robert Kammer, III of Mayo; her grandchildren, Tyler (Cady) Menk, Joe Menk (Kailey Anderson), Andrew Menk, Bre Sparacino and Lucas Sparacino; her great granddaughter, Rosie Menk; and her sisters, Beverly (Robert) Damiloski of Denton, MD and Patti Klonitsko of Delaware; nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gram’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Family and friends are invited to share in Gram's life celebration at Glory Days Grill, 3 Lee Airpark Drive, Edgewater, on Friday, July 14 from 6-9 PM.
