Linda Richardson - Obituary

inda Lee "Weiner" Richardson, 61, a resident of Riva for 23 years, died of complications due to breast cancer Jan. 31 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Mrs. Richardson was born Sept. 5, 1946, in Washington, D.C. to Lawrence F. Banke of Ocala, Fla., and the late Barbara M. Banke. She graduated from Richard Montgomery High School. She worked for the Food and Drug Administration as a budget officer until 1988. She was Treasurer of the Sylvan Shores Community Association. She loved being a wife and stepmother. She always remembered friends and family members birthdays and special occasions, and enjoyed boating and the beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey F. Richardson. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Cheryl R. Brookman of Edgewater and Lora Richardson of Gaithersburg; her stepmother, Carolyn Banke of Ocala; and one sister, Sharon A. Miller of Boyds. Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday February 4th at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday February 5 at the funeral home. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Inn at NIH, 7 West Drive, Bethesda, MD 20814-1509.
