Linda Lou Walker - Obituary

inda Lou Barker Walker, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the home of her loving daughter, Lisa Marie Walker Flieger, in Annapolis, MD. Linda was born in Beckley, WV to the late James and Jean Barker. After graduating from Collins High School in Oak Hill, WV, she married Larry E. Walker and they moved to Annapolis, MD in the spring of 1967. The family built their home in Annapolis and spent their early years enjoying boating, fishing and water sports on the surrounding waterways. Linda enjoyed a career in data processing for the State of Maryland Comptroller’s Office and retired after 40 years of service. Her accomplishments included multiple awards and commendations from the Governor’s and Comptroller’s Offices. She enjoyed bowling, painting landscapes, traveling, sports, animals and training and showing her beloved dogs. She lived a wonderful and happy life with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Flieger of Annapolis; her four grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher Dove, Faith and Nicholas Flieger; her loving partner, David Coladonato of Annapolis; her former husband, Larry Walker of Annapolis; her sisters, Carol (James) Walker of Annapolis and Anita Barker of Fayetteville, WV; her pet dogs, Panda and Caesar and her five great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 12pm until Linda's memorial service begans at 2pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory.
