inda Winchell, 66, a 13 year resident of Chester, died in Ellicott City after an eight year battle with breast cancer. She was born on April 3, 1947 in Lubbock, TX to the late William and Nellie Logan. After retiring as an administrative assistant from Honeywell, she then worked for several years at ITT Exelis. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald R. Winchell.
Surviving her are two daughters, Sheri (Tim) Stevens of Ellicott City and Sonja (Mark) Harding of Henderson; two sisters, Lorraine (Lee) Haislip of Harwood and Lisbeth (Phil) Gardner of Ft. Pierce, FL; a brother-in-law, Duane Winchell; eight grandchildren, Robert, Ashley, Jessica, Brooke, Lily, Shepard, Emma and Ryan; and three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Hailey and Sophie.
Friends are invited to Linda’s Life Celebration on Sunday, September 29 from 2-4PM and Monday, September 30 from 11AM-1PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held at 1PM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
