Lindburgh Dolan, 91, a resident of Felton, Delaware, formerly of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 1, 1934, in Kentucky, Lindburgh was the son of the late General Henry "Jack" Dolan and Lula Dolan. He was one of twelve siblings. Lindburgh was the beloved husband of the late Betty Louise Aisquith Dolan and the devoted father of the late David Dolan.
He is survived by his children, Charles L. Dolan, Gary L. Dolan, and Melody S. Dolan. Lindburgh was a proud grandfather to the late Chuckie L. Dolan, Anthony (Stacey), Jasmine Nicole, Dr. Charles Jr., Rick Dolan (Laurie), and Andrea. Lindburgh was a cherished great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren: Serenity, Trent, Lilliana AKA Lily, Ryan Jr., Graycen, Charlotte Louise, Domonick, and Ashley. And many nieces and nephews
Lindburgh was the owner of L. Dolan Tree Experts and worked for Asplundh Tree Company for over 40 years, dedicating his life to his trade with pride and integrity.
He had a deep love for spending time with his family, gardening, and racing his El Camino "Super Dragon" at Capital Raceway. He owned several racehorses and truly enjoyed the excitement of racing; this was a passion he enjoyed sharing with his family. Lindburgh also treasured time spent with his lifelong friends and loved hunting, fishing, and Crabbing.
Lindburgh will be remembered for his hard work, love of family, and the many memories he created with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lindburgh’s life on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037.
