Liz Cedar - Obituary

iz Delmis Baez Marquez was born in 1970 in the town of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Liz was the second child born to Jose R Baez, Sr, and Carmen L. Baez-Marquez. At the age of 12, her family moves from Puerto Rico to New London, Connecticut to start a new life. In 1984 once again her family relocates to Maryland. Liz graduated from Fairmont Height High School in 1988, in the same year Liz married her high school sweetheart Mark Stewart. Out of this union, she gave birth to Janice and Janet Stewart. Mark and Liz were married until he went to rest with the Lord. In 1995, Liz married David Cedar; together they raised Janice and Janet until her home going on August 4th, 2009. On Tuesday, August 4, 2009, the beloved wife of David Cedar; mother of Janice and Janet Steward; sister of Jose R. and Jose J. Baez. Friends and family may call on Monday, August 10, 2009, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill MD, from 9 am until the time of service at 10:00 am.
